WM-4 motor and belt repair needed.

Hello thank you for clicking on this I am the proud owner of a WM-4 Sony Walkman, however the motor is completely dead and the belts extremely Louse.

Any links to spares or guides for repairing are gratefully appreciated. Any data on the motor is appreciated also so I can find a non official Replacement.

Have you opened it up to check for any movement? Is there any LED operation?

 

for belts any sizes we used to have good old member "Doc P" from India - I wonder if he's still around ???

He's in the midst of a house move at the moment, so his lab wont be up and running until late Jan. If your not in a rush, he's your UK man

If you dont mind sending it away further afield, then Marrian (on this site) is exceptionally good and highly recommended.

 

Yes i have opened it up and there is no movement when play buttons are pressed and battery indicator does light correctly.
