Hey guys.. I made a post about this by accident in the boombox tech..(newbie mistake!) Now that I'm in the right place.. I have a beautiful wm-f20 that is breaking my balls for the last few years can't seem to get her working ... after having it open and cleaning the contact points I have got the unit powered and all buttons working the motor as it should.. only problem I have now is there is no sound to the Jack.. not even a crackle.. if anyone has a schematic for this model or service manual that would be worth it's weight in gold.. somebody told me the capacitors in this are prone to failure .. but I don't know where I should be looking.. or what the tolerances of the caps are supposed to be ? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated if anyone is familiar with this model, cheers..
Sony wm 10 20 service manual also is here with these pictures Even though I think I already answered this, I thought I at least show some interest in here while I am not working on my walkmans yet .... middle room IMG_0987 "some tapes on floorIMG_1006.JPG" "some tapes on floor flash IMG_1007.JPG" "some tapes on floor IMG_1004.JPG" "some tapes on floorIMG_1005.JPG" Sony wm 10 20 service manual
I might have some spare pcb's so if you find if yours is faulty then get in contact with me. I'll have a look over next week to see if I have them.
