Hello everyone Like the title suggests, I have a WM-F73 that is currently experiencing crosstalk when playing back tapes. I had just fully recapped the unit and adjusted the speed just over the weekend (+ new belt). It works nearly perfect, if it weren't for the crosstalk. At first I couldn't figure out where the noise was coming from, until I got to a point when the volume was low enough to hear the audio (coming from the other side of the tape). I have tested this with both a Sony HF Type I and Maxell UDII Type II tape (both recorded on a Denon DR-M34HR with Dolby B). Both tapes run as intended on my WM-FX375. I had also recapped the unit over the weekend. Both units don't have new pinch rollers, but the ones on the 73 look much cleaner (just thought it was worth a mention). I have two other F73 units, that I have been using for parts. Took a board from one of them, a lid from another, etc.. They both have intact playback assemblies, I just need to replace the caps with fresh ones, and swap over the better pinch rollers. Here's where I need the advice. What should I be doing about this issue? I'd prefer not to buy any more parts for these units, so I'd be open to swapping the mechanism from one of my parts unit to the working one (after restoration). Or is there something that I am missing entirely? Thank you for your help
