Alright, so my previous project on the WM-5 didn't pan out too well. But that's alright, I might end up coming back to it another day. I ended up buying another one to service, a WM-F77. Corrosion had hit the board some, but with some wiring I was able to get power to the thing. However, even with power and a belt, the device has some issues. It seems like whenever it's playing, the auto reverse mechanism keeps activating, making the spindles alternate spinning at 1 second intervals. That, on top of getting no sound of out any cassette tapes. All that can be heard through the headphones even without a cassette is a buzzing. I'm going to try my hand at it again tomorrow, though I figured I'd put this post up just to see if I can have any assistance. I figure that considering I have to take the auto-reverse feature is included with the device, it may or may not be a little harder to solve.
