Just recently got into cassette culture etc. I haven't owned a cassette player in over 25 years i would imagine. I just purchased a wm-20 (non working) and a wm-30 (supposedly working ). I've no idea how to service these but I've been slowly checking out various things related to the topic lately and hope to learn as much as i can. I'm from the usa / western Pennsylvania. i hope everyone is doing well and look forward to checking this forum out. -gerard
Hello! Those are very nice units to begin with! If the problems are just belts, there are actually very easy to do. You just need to open up the back and the belt directly slides in.
yeah the owner of the wm-30 said the belt was recently replaced so I'll see how that goes etc.. you happen to know where I can find manuals for the two? seen a site that had pdfs but they were $5 and was unsure of doing that until I looked around. thank you for the reply and have a nice day.
These are both free & does not reuquire registration https://freeservicemanuals.info/en/servicemanuals/viewmanual/Sony/WM10MK2/WM30/ https://elektrotanya.com/sony_wm-10_20.pdf/download.html I am not aware of a free download of the WM-10/20 service manual, but it's mechanically identical to the WM-30
