Well well....just fried my friends Panasonic RX-5050 in the process of trying to listen to a new vinyl LP I just bought. I gave him this 5050, and its in great shape cosmetically, but it's not operable otherwise. I accidently plugged the powerstrip which had the turntable, old sony reciever, and the 5050 all plugged into it, and plugged it into his 208 volt receptacle for his window air conditioner, and kapowww! The reciever went first, then the 5050 clicked, but fortunately, the 40 yr. old Voice Of Music record changer survived! Is there a fuse in the 5050 that maybe I can change hopefully save it, or not? Can't remember, and haven't taken it apart yet. The sony reciever has a small glass fuse, and it is blown, so maybe I can get that running. If I can't get the 5050 going, does anyone want it??? Hate to just throw it out..its complete down to original antenna. Let me know. Thanks!
ME ME ME!
Please.......
