gonna respray my grills on Philips D8634 - now the original colour looks to be a sort of half flat half gloss gunmetal grey - so my question is would it look to wrong to do them black, to bring out it's feature's and match the handle - and second part is gloss or matt ?
what do you think of both parts - please just don't look and not respond - give me some thoughts peps

Hi there. i have the same Phillips. i don't realy like the look of that box, so im workin right now on the restyling.i've repainted the grills with the black spray, also i've removed horizontal plastic plates (it holds small speakers ). also,on the bottom i've mounted a plastic stripe and painted it with silver spray.the cassete window looks little different now to (its much lower now, but the frame is not that bright enymore), but i' m not realy shure what to do with it. by the way the sound is total crap, but i know why- everything inside is just plastic, even the speakers:]. after i'll finish the work i thing i'm gonna resell that crapy box:]. good luck, and if u 'll have some questions, write me here: ishvien@gmail.com .sorry for my english and greets from Lithuania:]
you got to get some pictures up mate
pm'd back

i think black would look cool...
you give it a two tone effect painting them black.... but if your trying to keep it close to original i would try to match the original color....
cheers..
