I have a issue with the tape deck plays however the door is not snug. This is causing the tape to go up and down in sound. Any suggestions, I notice the Kaboom has a snap turn slider.

The door may not be snug, but it sounds like you need to adjust the azimuth, the tape head alignment- there should be a small hole just under the door slightly left. Use a jewelers philips screwdriver or a number "0" , while cassette is playing, gently turn the screw one way or the other. Set the screw where it sounds the cleanest, making sure you are not applying pressure to the door.
