If i bought a 777 with a blown channel would it be repairable or is it a dead loss???? I'm just thinking about buying one!!
Never worked on a 777 (or 767
) but if it's definitely 'blown' according to someone with technical knowledge, then it is repairable, if you can diagnose which parts have failed and obtain/replace those parts. It may just be a dodgy switch, bad headphone jack or loose connection, if you're lucky.
yes 2steppa I may well give it a shot!!!I'm not frighten to open it up but more worried about parts!!!

the 777 has an amp for the mids and an amp for the woofers, so if one channel aint working it would have to be both amps faulty, so i dout that its the amps, could be a fault on the pcb,or as 2steppa says," may be lucky and it just needs cleaning
Probably a faulty switch- super dirty and needs cleaning- clean all switches well, probably not the amps as another poster said..I worked on a 777 that wouldn`t power on, guess what, the power switch was full of grunge, cleaned it and poof! One working 777 !
You will probably find the Volume pot at fault, I've had a few with channel issues and thats been the problem twice, you can get them apart and clean them which worked on one
sorry didn't win it went to 116 pound but even that wasn't enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh well I'll try again on another

was a bit much, needed alot of work, i was going to bid but went to high for me, one will come up one day for you, i bought a job lot of 11 boxes for £87 about 2 years ago was pick up only hence low price, anyway in the lot was a 767 and a vz 2000, sold them all on apart from the 767 and still got 160 for the rest, so bargains do come along now and then
