The right channel on one of my boxes is way low.....No matter what source (tuner/tape/aux). If you want to listen to it at low volume, you have to crank the balance knob almost all the way to the right.....Then when you increase the volume you have to gradually put it back to normal. Can this be solved with DeOxit, or is it a bigger problem?
If not it may be a faulty balance control or a gain problem in the amp section. Also, clean function switches (tape/radio selector etc) and also the long rec/playback changeover switch on the main board inside the unit.
If the problem doesn't occur on headphones it may even be a bad speaker. (Unlikely but not impossible).
