Any suggestions on polishing up chrome center caps to make them shine real nice? I tried some spit and a t-shirt (GENTLY), and the results were OK, but there has to be a better way. What are those things made of anyway? Just silver paint, or do they have a real metal coating that requires special care?

ive used windex on the dust caps.

With Sinister. And I've also used Isopropyl alcohol on a Q tip too. It cleans of the nasty stuff well.
