I just got my conion today in the mail. plugged it in. NO power. nothing. no lights. dead... Any ideas what it could be?? guy stated it was working when he had it.

i remember someone having similar problem...maybe something inside got disconnected during transport? have you tried it with batteries? try that first and see...

sorry, shoulda mentioned that i did that already with batteries, dc cord, and another cord. Got nothing. but thats what i was thinking something was maybe disconnected during transport. anyone have any pictures of this thing cracked open???

Most likely the power cables to the power board are loose or came out. Pay attention to the size of the screws, they are not all the same length coming out.

I thought that it could be a loose power connection. wehn i first turned in on it powered up (it seemed) but faded and died out. not sure that means anything. I not getting a hum or anything from the back. well i gona have to crack it open and see how it goes. i hope its a loose connection.

Check the fuse on the power board and also check the voltage selector, A tip Hemiguy told me I should do before pluging in any box, as its often overlooked.

fixed it yesterday. it was a fuse, thank goodness. looks like it does not need to much work to get the tapes decks up and running again, i spent all sat cleaning it. post picks when done. its looking good. anyone know of a place on the net to get belts for these things??thanks for the help guys.
