I don't have much experience with boomboxes (I've been mainly into walkmans as well as full-size separates), but this machine caught my eye on eBay. It has a CD player, which is handy, but it was the looks that really drew me.

As described, the cassette deck doesn't work, but the radio and CD do, and sound surprisingly good. Would anyone happen to have a service manual for this box, as I'm planning on opening it up to fix the tape deck? I'll try and get some picks on too.

That's pretty cool. I love the vertical cd player look. Chances are the tape deck could just need a belt.

Thanks guys. Got my fingers crossed it is indeed just a belt.

Had the back off it briefly a few days ago, and there's not a lot of room in there, but I'm hoping it won't be too tough to work on. I was planning on getting the cassette deck done, then maybe recapping the amplifier section and possibly looking for some higher-spec drivers. That said, it continues to impress me with the quality of its sound.
