Does anyone know of a good boombox repair expert in the New York area? I have two JVC RCM90s that are in need of repair / restoration. I'm in the process of finding the trim parts ect. from this site, and will do the cleaning and detailing myself but I need a good tech guy to do the repairs. Any advice would be appreciated. You can try a department store, maybe Sears.
They have there own repair center in some cases.

They wont do a restoration but they can fix them.

I just dropped off my box at dykes tv in syracuse ny. The guy seemed to be really into what he does and said he is good with tape players and radios. He runs the business with his dad and another guy. I made it clear to him that I wanted it like new and that I am quite particular with my things. He saidno problem. I know its far from you but he seemed a knowledgable guy. If you need any more info pm me.

Thanks for the advice. I tried a local stereo restoration biz here and they told me the work @ $75/hr might end up costing more than the boxes are worth... I'll keep looking.
