So I got my old machine down from the loft today,time to reinstate it in the house I reckon..all works apart from turntable stuff. Door canot be operated by switch,platter doesn't spin etc..everything lights up as it should. I can hear the faint hum of power but this dims when attempting to operate door switch or play buttons. First assumption was belts for turntable but not so sure with door mech being kaput too? Obviously going to have it apart but just wondered if the t/table not working and door mech problem are possibly connected?
Please go easy on me as I'm an electrical numpty

scott...that hum sounds like the motor so i would start by sorting the belts out...try here for belts... cpc at preston...they deliver

Thanks very muchly,their prices certainly seem low..have managed to grab a pdf service manual so will give it a crack..seems a lot of it's controlled by a sensors and a microcomputer though so could be that's naffed if it's all linked..only one way to find out..appreciated
