GF-1000 RMS Output?

fatdog - 2008-06-04 15:25

Hey, does anybody know what the RMS output power is for the GF-1000? Power consumption is listed as 32W, which is way less than the 60W for the GF-777Z.

Also, which GF models had APSS (not APLD)?

thafuzz - 2008-06-04 18:49

Interesting.... My GF-919 says 28W.

jimski - 2008-06-05 03:16

Id say 28 watts, dual ha1392 @ 14 each

OH! And mine has the APSS. Hope that helps Bobby Smile

yo bobby the 1000 is exactly the same power as the 777 trust me dont take any notice of that garbege on the back its the sane power but the 1000 sounds better.

GF 777 - APLD
GF 1000 - APSS

If you want the PPSSMPO rating
mutiply the RMS power by 5 and
add another 50 watts.

RMS X 5 + 50 = PPSSMPO

Its just somthing I made up Red Face Red Face

power out put for the hitachi chip is around if i am not mistaken 6 to 7 watts per channel you have 2 output chips so they are bootstraped together so 14 to 15watts per side that is for the gf-777 which has a rating of 60 watts ac power consumption, do not know about the gf1000
it may be powered with a diffenent chip or have only one.it would be good to open one up just to see the power amp and what chip is in use....i forgot to mention power rating for other parts of the world may not be the same for the states......

Ramon i will say this only once more Laugh Out Loud there is no differance between the gf1000 and the 777 it has the same chips.

moncheeto - 2008-06-22 12:19

rimmer i will say this did you read the last part Laugh Out Loud Laugh Out Loud how have you been good buddy

28W total BBX consuption can't shield 14+14W output power, since other sections (like turner, Vu meter, motor, preamps) waste power and the power supply itself wastes power (about a 20%). I think that NO more than 8+8W for a 28W global consuption is possible.

Some boxes, like the M70 have electronics intalled to reach 14 watts per channel.
But the M70 is ONLY 7.5W per channel !!!!!

You may think ... that's stupid ... but it's quite clever ... since distortion happens near the rated power, putting electronic inside to work at twice the max output power of the box keep distortion very very far from the user.
From the user point of view, sound keeps clear, clean and loud even at max power output.
Also the M70 used the same aproach. That's an stereo power amp chip for each channel, built as a bridge to twice power while bringing a capacitor-lees output that shields a clean sound.

Im doing good ol buddy hey did you get the belts for your sk909 ol friend if not send me a pm i have the too main belts, the only belt i don't have is the rew belt but is a standard belt and pretty much any belt will do as long as it isn't to tight.

moncheeto - 2008-06-22 13:29

well up to now i have not had time to work on it so i have been very busy and sick and my wife has been sick to but thank God everything is getting back to normal i guess i will have a bit more time.. i can get some belts over here i am always ordering them the only one i have not had any luck are the very very small ones--the bigger ones and medium size one i have no problems thanks for the offer and hope to see you in orlando Nod Yes....................

ramon your welcome mate hey can you get any m90 belt's i have been searching till im sick plus i dont know the size of them i know one is square quite small and the main belt is flat quite big but that realy narrows the size down Laugh Out Loud

Glad to see your both on the mend man sweet.

moncheeto - 2008-06-22 16:12

the only ones i have not been able to get are the wide ones thats the only ones i have trouble getting i can get the flat ones but not real wide like some of these decks have

transwave5000 - 2008-06-22 22:36

Whats the ohms of the speakers?
Does the amplifier use a output transformer?

I have a Sharp box that has 3 ohm speakers.
Thats how they get some extra power using only 12 volts for power supply.

henrytai - 2008-06-23 10:14

question~!!
y most of the japanese bbx was listed a lower power consumption than the outport models??
victorM70 is listed 25W and the Jvc is 40W
same as the GF-919 and GF-777
....japanese hv a different way to caculate the power consumption? Wink

fatdog - 2008-06-23 10:18

I'm sure it has something to do with voltage differences - 100V vs. 110/120V.

henrytai - 2008-06-23 10:51

my S90 is rated 19W as i remember....
if it's a outport model, it should be rated 50W Nod Yes
