gf 777 speaker colour

ok from what i gather 777 speakers are ment to be black in colour, mine are faded, anyone know the best way to restore them back to black, i thought about using black acrilic paint but dont know the best way to apply it, can anyone shed any usful information

black vinyl & fabric dye. you can pick it up at any major auto parts store (atleast in the US) or any store that carries a good selection of spray paints.

i used this Dupli-Color spray. it's very light weight and dries almost immediately. it soaks into the paper cones as it would vinyl or fabric and leaves the paper texture visible on the surface, unlike a paint coating.

just so you know, this does not work well . .

i had a vz2500 that the previous owner had used a marker on , looked o.k in room light , under sunlight it was clearly a speaker coloured with a marker !

If you're going with acrylic paint just water it down so its not so thick. If its thick vibrations may cause it to crack. Use a paint brush and paint it lightly making sure not to soak the cone.
Apply a second coat if necessary. Nice and easy and comes up a real treat! Nod Yes Good luck

Fabric spray is the way to go I used it on my M-90 with good results.

I use Lemon oil it givs it that brannd new shine look use it with a one of those black painting sponges. The can be found in Home Depot, $0.99 store.
