I have a 975 with a broken door, and one missing door all together. Bothe decks work but the tape is not complete secured in there because the doors aren't locking it into place. The broken door will glue back onto the posts that are still attached to the inside of the tape deck. It was a clean break.
My question basically is, how difficult is it to open and get to the broken post pieces so i can do a good glue job so it wont be set all uneven again. From what i keep reading on here is that the Lasonic is a big empty radio, so i wonder if its going to be a pain in the ass or not.
Also...anyone got another door , eh eh eh? deck on the left is missing the door all together. Why are door always missing on radios?? people just cant wait to jam a friggin tape in there or something? i never got this.
its really easy man. they are big empty boxes but no sweat. just take off all the screws on the back and unplug a few wires just make sure you remember where they go. then i think theres like 4-5 screws for the tape deck. easy breezy
