Kanamaster the 9994 is an excellent box for it's size and can compete with or best many larger boxes. If your thinking about getting one I don't think you will be dissapointed.
A forum member from china does indeed collect them INTENSIVELY -- :
TPR, I think I already have that picture somewhere, and to tell you the truth, I'd be the happiest man on Earth if I......
yeah~!!9994 sounds awesome and it's not so big so you can bring out easily and blast it anywhere~!!
great job JENS. Now that i see the one with 4 bands i like it better.
yeap thats one of my favorite sounds awesome, i have the 9994k i love mine the sound in the bass department not to many mid size box that can compete, the 9998k is another one to consider if you come across one is awesome to
Thank you very much TPR!
Yes, you are right. As soon as I saw the posts I remembered having seen them some time ago. I think I was interested in repairing the plastic case of a WA-33 walkman that I had receive (and that, by the way, is still working).
At the end I didn't do it for I bought two more of them with good cosmetic state, nothing broken and so on. Anyway, one of these days when I find the time and have the right mood, I think I will try to do something.
Again, thank you very much.
Hello erybody again...
Do you remember that I told you I was waiting for a M9994 to arrive to my house? Well, it did since a few days ago. It arrived in very good cosmetic conditions. But.... as soon as I opened the package I realized that there was no power cable. I sent an email to the seller telling about it. One or two days later I managed to get a suitable cable for powering up the recorder. Good! It did! The radio worked perfectly. All the bands. All knobs. All controls. And a super sound, as it is to expect from this equipment. Next, I grabbed a cassette, put it in, pressed PLAY..... Great! It worked as it had to. And no wow that I could hear. Everything was OK.... until I tested the REWIND button. When I press it, both hubs rotate in opposite directions!!
Then I tested the RECORD function with the radio as a source..... failure! When I presse both PLAY and RECORD the audio goes off, and of course, when I play back theres is nothing recorded. So, thanks to this nice and kind eBay seller --who sent me the classical answer of "I tested verything here before sending it and there were no problems"-- I have two problems:
1.- The two hubs rotating at the same time and in opposite directions during Rewind.
2.- The deactivation of audio at the time of recording.
So, in this situation I think I will need your help according to your experience. What do you think it could be the cause of the first problem? I was thinkg that perhaps someone tried to change a broken belt, and at the time of mounting it, he didn't put them -or at least one of them-- in the right position. Or could it be a matter of some little electronic swith that goes on in the wrong moment?
What about problem # 2?
Maybe someone can help with pictures of the right way the belts should be mounted, so I can see them and compare with the positiion they have in mine.
I really really hope I can get any help from you.
Thanks in adavnce for any ideas of suggestions.

M9994K/LU has Loudness push bottom.
But if you check carefully, You will find a MIDTONE switch on a M9994.

I find the Midtone switch overkill for the mids, it's kind of useless to me but it looks cool. The more buttons, knobs and switches the better.
MIDTONE kills high and low. Its good for voice reproduction.
LOUDNESS increase high and low which is nice for music.

Makes sense but I have no use for it however, I would if it were the loudness switch. Well I guess it's not a big deal since the 9994 has good sound even without the loudness switch.
