I got my Aiwa CS880U cassette player working, but the music scanner does not function. I was looking closer at it and discovered the music scanner circuit board is cracked.
Does anyone have a spare to sell me or know how to repair it? Here is a side view of the board I need. It is the one right under the V.U. meters and the red led music sensor display.,Thanks.

skippy you can solder copper wire across the cracks to repair the circuit board traces.just strip a length of wire ,twist it tight ,lay it across the crack and solder it in.you could also just scrape the traces down then add solder to the joint and let harden it should hold up pretty good thats if it doesnt get jarred around alot afterwards.
after scraping away the soldermask (green) GENTLY until you see the copper (clean) track....then tin both coppers with solder, tin the wire first, then apply the replacement wire to the copper tracks.....done
wow who sold you this thing.
Thanks guys for the advice,I am chicken to try it myself,I'll see if my dad will do it,he is a seasoned solderer.
God,I don't know who sold me this clunker!!!!!!

geez what a schmuck!!!
sounds like its coming along man.
Yes, Sinister I'm getting it all working first, then I'll disassemble it and then fix the cracks and dents in the aluminum on the sides and such. Then I'm going to spray it. JvcFloyd is going to refoam the woofers for me. I'll get her fixed up,slowly but surely.I have all the knobs and switches now too. It all works now except for the musics scanner, hopefully my dad can solder it up.
Well good news so far,my Dad came over this evening and soldered the broken circuit board and now it works!!!
Thanks for the advise guys!!
