as some of you might know the jvc dc 33 dont take battereis, so i want to make it so it can, all i want to do is strip the removable power pack and rig it up to take battereis. i dont want to strip the one i got as mine is fully working, so if anyone has a junker jvc dc 33 power pack that they would like to donate it would be much appreciated, it does not have to work, just need the casing from it
The jvc dc33 does take batts jeff i had one back in the day it was a box that you inserted 8 d's into but me like everybody else lost the powerpacks, good luck with the conversion man.

so did you have to take the power pack out and put a different one in that took the battereis.
geoff --thats a great idea to convert it --
and if you cant find the oem jvc pack --
i think you can build one from scratch

did think about building one from scratch if i couldnt get hold of one
a set of D cells might not fit --
so use C size -- it will still work fine.
Hey Geoff, here is a scan of my original DC33/DC33L manual and here is the page on using the battery converter box to give you an idea of what it looks like.
Is that the jvc walkmanboombox?, whan yes the batteries go

Yes you are correct about the Jvc walkmanboombox Nicolle. But we are talking about this, the Jvc DC33 boombox with the turntable. Like this one.
