What would cause almost none exist FM reception (no light or anything).

It is in a WX-1. Is it fixable?

Wish I could help johnny. Did you try and clean tuner or check for bad antenna connection

I did try some deoxit on controls. I have not split the case yet, but will soon. If no luck another one off to have repaired.

hey johnny- Not sure if it helps as i have never fixed a bad fm, but if the control cleaner doesn't work look for a bad solder connection where it connects to fm coil, trace that line back and look for any leaky or bad connections on resistors. a voltage regulator transistor can apparently can cause a low voltage problem making fm not work.
might as well look for some obvious defect or damage, nothing lost if your able to split the case and get it back together again before taking for repair.
who knows might just be a loose wire.

It may very well be that the tuner has somhow gotten out of whack and needs the variables adjusted. Not sure where they are located in a WX-1 though.

Have fun disassembling the WX-1 is a PITA to take apart.
Not impossible but you will be wondering what they were thinking when they put this one together.
Its all kinda jammed in there.
