Well, I think all of us here were just as devastated as Frank (TransAmGuy1977) was when the mishap happened with his Telefunken HP800. He used toxic glue that ate away at the paint on one of the plastic lenses. After, some hobknobbing with Freddie about it, I decided to try and help Frank with his problem.
He mailed me the plastic lens and e-mailed an image that included all the missing text. I then set about to recreate everything, including the missing elements, by hand. Luckily, I found a perfect match for the linotype, but had to recreate the Dolby logo and the power level bars from scratch.
Several methods were tried in the repair process - some didn't work at all, a few others worked almost completely, but the final method employed was to use a custom cling attached with a light adhesive (Sulky KK2000). Frank had supplied me with the paint code he used in his restoration of the Telefunken so I went and bought the same paint locally.
After several "dry runs" with mock ups and such, the final product was completed a couple of days ago. The only thing needed is to get it to Frank so he can install it and see if everything matches up - there were lots of tiny cutouts for the LED meters.
Frank has the patience of a saint! Here's a comparison of the before and after:
Fatdog youre the man!!
DAMN BOBBY!
Outstanding! Frank might even let Tara cook you a twenty course meal for that one!
Wasn't he giving you an M70? To heck with that! An M90!!!
Great Work!
Now about my Telefunkens Studio 1 & CC9000...oh right, the graphics are fine, the right channels are just shot to hell in both...
That's the best repair/salvage/remake I've ever seen!! Congratulations FatDog!! I can see this technique being employed quite a bit in the future.
Sheer brilliance.
Rock On.

Thanks guys! I had worked with custom decals years ago when I still built model airplanes and such and tried to employ the same methods here. Unfortunately, because of the need for precise locations (LED holes), it just didn't pan out, hence, the experimentation with other methods.

It still has to be put on the box to make sure everything lines up first!
This is the part I hate - having to wait days before knowing if the plan worked or not.
Dude you rock!
