Internal Cassette motor switch GF-5454

Is it possible anyone may have a junker deck for one of these which has this switch? As far as I can tell I can not fix this switch. In fact, I cant be sure what the switch looked like when it was intact. Its quite possible this deck was used on other Sharp models. Any help would be appreciated.

it looks like the piece of plastic is missing as you can see the little metal bar that pushes the switch,,it a long piece that attaches to the middle section of the switch i have seen that same switch before on another deck but not the same mounting,, not sure if you could add a piece or i guess replace with the exact same switch..

It's using the 3 contacts ?. Only see two wires there ...

There is a tab missing. I found it floating inside the box, it goes between the right side contact and the side of the switch. It looks like it normally would sit straight up and then the metal slider above moves to the right to release the contacts. It is a normally closed switch and actually when the contact is broken does the motor turn on. Motor power is actually controlled somewhere on the main board. It looks like something else is missing as well tho because the tab I found even when putting it where it belongs doesnt make sense. There is no way to glue it as it would not hold. I think I pretty much need a switch.

Bash, I have a switch from a Sharp RT-10 cassette deck. Do you think you could do something with that? Sorry for the bad picture. The batteries in the good camera are dead.

Thanks for the effort FD.
Its hard to tell for sure but it definately looks possible. I see in your pic that curved spring (i think) connecting to that center contact which if mine had at some point, it must have fallen out. If its not exact, I might be able to fabricate it to work. The only thing im wondering about is the way the switch is held in place. Looks like yours is held in place w/ a clip on one of the posts. Mine is held in place with the white tab on the left side of the switch assembly. Is there a left side "wall" to the switch in your pic? Its hard to tell.
