Hi
I 've just taken my Rising 20/20 2005 to check it and listen to it but there seems to be a problem with the function connection button : it's not getting it so no sound on tape radio or phono
How can I take it apart to reach the contact under the switch and clean it? Please help me!! I so love my Rising I really want to make it work again
When I tried to take it apart the door tape seems to prevent to separate the front cpanel from the rest so I did not go any further

Welcome Yann to s2g. I think what you need to do is while the door is open push up from bottom to unsnap, there is a snap lock mechanism to hold the door on. Be careful as to not break the tabs. (go slow)

as far as the tape door goes you need to take 2 screws out 1 on each side of the tape dor then it slides up and comes off. then you can open it up all the way. the switch just may need to be cleaned really well. try deoxit first.

Oh yeah, I forgot it has thumb screws

welcome yann to the site ok the switches is on top i have been able to spray deoxit down in those switches if they have a plastic cover covering the hole for the switch then the only way is to open her up all the way to expose the switch if it has a little cloth then you can push the cloth to the side a bit and lower the red extention tube and spray some into the funtion switch move it a couple of times and give it a squirt or two hope this helps
