I found a great set of replacement drivers for the JVC PC-R11JW. I am still looking for replacement drivers for my PC-5, none have the great sound that the original drivers had. I found some
Fostex FF125K 4.5" Full Range drivers, they didn't quite fit, but when replacing the drivers in the PC-11, I was friggen amazed! That box sounds so good, I am really a proud to own that box! It is awesome. I didn't know that box could make those drivers move the way a real speaker does. It has great bass now! The drivers cost more than the box, but who cares!!!?! I am really motivated to get the box really cleaned up now.
Now since the drivers are 4.5 inch and not 4 inch I have some work to get them to fit in the PC-5 speaker boxes. I don't want to destroy the boxes, but some mods will have to happen to fit. The magnet is larger than the hole in the box, not a big deal. The greatest concern is having the frame larger than original spot. We'll just see how it turns out.
Will keep y'all posted.
WOW that company is just down the road about 35 minutes from me. I didn't even know about that place. COOL!!!!
Interesting... I will probably have to pick up a few pairs of those...
Nice find!

Nice find!
Just remember that they are 4.5 inch, not 4 or 5. The PC-11 uses something a bit larger than the 4.5 but fits well drilling new holes. The sound is rockin!
Well, as I am always interested in better sound (like when I changed out my PC-55 speakers) so this is great info!
It may boost the standing of the PC-11 in relation to its brothers....
