Hi everyone,

I'm new to the boom box world and recently got myself my first ever! A VZ-2000!

Problem is tape plays, and I get super low volume out 1 speaker and hissing out the other, both are quite even when volume is turned right up!

So, I don't know anything about insides of electronic stuff, but am a very fast learner. Is it worth tackling or just paying someone to sought out?

I got one in December and I had the same problem. Is it on all of the functions or just the tape deck?

My problem was simply the function buttons were not pushing the switches properly. With the cover removed, I was able to adjust the underside of the buttons for better contact.

Urm its on every function, I might give it a dabble myself just to see, but I will probably cause more harm than good
