i was so bored while modding my box.. i wanted to see if the wires that connect to the speakers make the VU meter respond.... it did..and not only the meter wa waving left to right, i heard my song coming out of it. i was like "what the heck??" must be a magnet and a coil in the meter

Sounds crazy,but I guess it would and could be possible. The coil and magnet in the VU meter is like a speaker.....
Just like some microphones you can hook them up to the speaker leads and hear music though it.

That's normal. You should try some other stuff.
Connect a tape deck motor to a speaker output.
You will hear sound too.

The vumeter takes a little signal, if you tie it directly toe the speaker output you will damage it (the vumeter).
Have a look at some schematic to see how it was resolved. It's very simple, I guess only one transistor and conected to the amp input.

Yeah motors work too (the motor without electronic circuit). But be carefull about the impedance you are connecting unless you want to stop feeling bored looking for an amp chip
