I change one ton of capacitors etc. and I.C Pre-Amp. And nothing..problem still exist. In radio mode both channel in stereo work OK.Maybe somebody can help me resolve this fuc..g problem? PLEASE.I have a service manual for this Aj-530 Fl. Possible send this (17 Mb) to persons who want help me find answer whats is wrong.
ok there may be a few problems there is a post about a panasonic 5600 that had simular problem ok after changing all the caps just to find out it was a small ajusting pot on the circuit near the ic amp in his case yours could be in that same situation or maybe something else i hope this helps
Not only capacitor, but you need to check
1) record bar switch. Sometimes cleaning is not enough. While playback a tape that you can erase try moving a little (no enoguh to enter in REC mode) and see if sound appears.
Also check soledring of the record bar.
2) Check head & cables.
3) Does it have a micmixing feature on this channel ?. Becarefull it is shutoff. Check jacks of the microphones.
4) Does the function switch work ok ?
5) Putting it in mono shield sound in both channels ?.

Hello guys. Thanks for help.
1).The record bar switch function OK.And soldering OK.
2)Head and cables OK.
3)Micmixing feature 100% shutoff.
4)Function switch looking good i check this with multimeter but maybe something with this is wrong (its specific switch).I thing maybe i desoldering this.
5)In tape mono mode sound is in both channels but only leds indicator level metters from left channel ligts. ( In radio stereo mode stereo working fine).
To "ramon"- all adjusting pot on the circuit board in this Akai working OK. I check all with multimetter.
My english is not to OK but i have a hope you understund me...
So i no have a idea..Maybe i destroy this..after many hours .
Maybe you want looking a service manual for this AJ-530 FL?

Post the schematic diagram only. Perhaps we see something ...
Have you tried swaping channel at head, to test it. Toching each pink wire shields hum noise in both channels ?.
Could you touch each IC preamp imput. You must have hum noise in each channel.
About vumeters is application specific. I have a Toshiba that if you play a tape with only one channel recorded, and put mono, only the vumeter of the recroded channel moves, even sound is heard trough the two speakers.

Hi!
I test the head.Hum is only on left channel. But i remove and tested this head from Akai in other boombox an working good. And i install in this Akai head 100% ok from other box and still working only left channel in stereo. I.C i replaced. And i install new one.But i dont touch I.C Pre-Amp inputs.I must do this but i thing on input IC left channel circuit is zero effect.About vumeters i understund.I have problem with post schematic diagram here.I have old os Win98Se and problem with Acrobat Reader and is problem capture a photo of this page with schematic diagram (pdf.)
But please see this and try zoom

I can't get enough deffinition to see the circuit.
You don't know the effect of touching inputs. If there's a broken track before preamp imput, touching it will shield hum.
Looks like an open circuit path at some point before the audio preamp. And that could be AFTER or BEFORE the head preamp. If touching preamp inputs don't shiled hum, then there's a prblem AFTER head preamp. And AFTER could be a function switch, a stereo/mono switch or the record bar, because we are talking to route headpreamp output to the audio preamp input.
Looks like a routing problem.
One you can try ...
Test output from the preamp IC using a LINE-IN CABLE conected to another AMPLIFIER as a probe.
Preamp outs are likely line in inputs. So you can test both channels without scope, only with another amplfier.
BECAREFULL !!!! with the AMPLIFIER with you perform the test (puting a capacitor in series in the LINE-IN cable would avoid a damage). Touch only preamp outs !!!!.
If you get signal from both channles, is like a routing problem. Perhaps you need to see all switches.

Very thanks for help SUCCESS.When i find a time i check this everything.I have a hope resolve this problem. This AKAI AJ_530FL have sound very nice.I must repair this.
