So tomorow I am going to finally bring my 7700 in town to get the AM/FM tuner recalibrated/aligned. Presently, the pointer doesn't coincide with the audible station at the location, but the cassette deck is perfect.I am kinda nervous about bringing it in. The back half is already off, I am bringing it in like that and keeping the screws at home...just don't trust anyone,weird huh? Does anyone else get more particular with these radios as they get older?

Thanks Vlad! Well...just got home from dropping off the 7700. They told me the technician has a 6-8 week backup!! The girl at the counter told me though to call every week, because he may fit mine in early, depending on how bad it is,or if it needs parts. I don't believe it needs parts,just realignment of the tuner. Keep you posted.

Dam Matrix, thats a long time. I hope he can fix it. Hard to find a reputable service man to work on these boxes.

Yeah, I know ash....the girl said that he is good, so that is why such a long wait??...I guess thats a good thing then,huh? I just wanna get ready to boom that 7700!! The cassette deck is fine and has the original belts in it, but that tuner was off some...it bothers me.

I picked up a mint 7700 earlier this year and I love it!!!

Well....just got a call from the girl at the service place I brought my 7700 to, and she said they cannot fix it because the parts they need are not available anymore, so I am disappointed. I will be picking it up tomorrow night, and eventually I will be selling it.

Matrixambience: I have 4 of these guys and am looking for a parts unit to fix one of mine. I would be interested in this if/when it becomes available. Check your PM.
