Hi,as some of you know,i need to refoam my rising bass,i just want to confirm they are 4",does any of you know if they are ?
here`s a pic of mine..
They look like 4 inch, but you can't buy new foams based on that. You need to measure the diameter of your cone, and the diameter of the chassis where the foams need to go, see picture below
Here's some I did recently showing all the old foam removed, dustcap removed and voice coil shimmed ready to fit new foams, this is the only way I would recommended.
It is also very easy to get your measurements accurate for new foams with the speaker like this, if your a newbie to refoaming.
Have you refoamed before?

Hi,yes i have refoamed before,i refoamed Jvc pc5 twice,it was pretty straight foward, but these dont quite feel like 4",they look a little bigger to me..
Yeah, looking at them again maybe 4 1/2 inches, just check out some foam kits and see what size you need.

you know...i may just risk a set of 4" and hope for the best,i`m too impatient..i need some now..
i just cant get myself to replace the bass with some others,i`m a "standard" "origonal" man myself,i hate throwing replacements in,i`de rather fix the origonals, the bass have actually got Rising stamped on the back of the magnets,so it shows, they are proud of there stuff because they`ve put there name on it..
