Or your mind may have been in storage so long you've forgotten how to operate IT!
buy the looks of it oldskool i would have to say that,,
that is correct and a big 10-4 roger that
the tape B monitor is the volume control for that deck.
as per THE TOPIC
chris = please check your PM
---seems like something ELSE ?? has to be on or set along with that tape #2 monitor switch ??

1. Tape b monitor toggle switch must be in any other position other than off.
2. Tape b monitor slider must be raised to an audible level.
Thats it.
you can play the decks independently of each other or if you really want to get crazy you can do a mix with deck a and b at the same time, I think thats the reason for the pitch control on deck a.
Kind of an unconventional dual deck system but far ahead of its time so far as the different record/playback options available.
Also this is the only box ive ever seen with both decks having the capability to record.
Pretty cool
DUH !!
im an idiot -- saw the tape #2 monitor switch --but didnt notice the the separate #2 volume control
it works great -- thanks alot TA
