Several months ago I was on patrol searching a vacant house for possible squatters. During my search, I noticed a very dusty and grimy Black boomBox in the closet. I didn't give it much attention and left. Tonight, I passed by the house and asked the new owners if they had an old Radio left in the house from when they moved in. They brought it out and gave it to me. It's a Black, silver& Gray colored Sanyo M 9923. To my surprise, it works! Antenna and battery cover is missing, but works. It has 2 red led bands on the left upper dial band area. Pics soon. Any info/history on it? Anyone with pics of a clean one?
I had one, got bored of it, and gave it away.
Here's some pics for you.
Yeah, thats the one. Cracked it open to clean it up. I like the LEDs on it. Simple design- but "free-99". You can't beat that
Thanks for the pics.

That's funny, the one above and the one you had, had LED meters. I can't remember mine having any. Mine was the European version, and I'm pretty sure it only had a big FM Stereo LED. Can anyone confirm this?
Yeah! Payola! They gave it to you to look the 'other way'!
Cant beat free beats!
The best boomboxes are free boomboxes
i may have a battery cover man. post a pix of the back
Will do. Thnx Sin. It has a busted belt for the motor. the cassette buttons all engage. all knobs & switches there and working. I'm cleaning it for my 5 y.o. (Nicky).
