Just got a Rising SRC 2005 with a tape speed issue. The tape is playing slow, maybe 5% or so. I opened it up and it doesn't seem to have any issues with the belt, though I guess it can't be ruled out that there's some slack, 5% seems high though(?). Looking at the motor, I couldn't find any speed adjust - anyone else tried tinkering with the Rising's tape speed? Other issues I could check? The problem is consistent with all tapes I've tried.
One thing I noticed is that if I supress play to just before the bottom position to lock it into play it will play at the right speed but going any further will yield the slower tape speed.
