Hey guys i am going to replace the main speakers with something (hopefully) more bassy to match this beasts looks can someone tell me what speakers to get as a good straight replace as i have no idea. I see the origanals are 8inch 40 ohm 15 watts. should i get some sort of car speaker or what. would also like to know what the power of the amp is also. someone please help.....

the speakers that came with the box usually match the amp and if you upgrade speakers they may not sound good or it can take a toll on amp

Ok but what if its not so much about wattage but more about a bass reflex type speaker. The stock speakers are loud enough just dont have any punch.

the 8 inch white lasonic woofers have great bass punch with the right power ,would probobly drop right in without a hitch.

believe it or not thats a great price per woofer for those ,i think they are exactly the same as the old 8 inch woofers just the i 931 has different electronics inside than the old 931 thats why it just cant push the speakers they way they used to,i have tried to blow these woofers with high powered amps and they do pop at around 50 watts input power but they never really seemed like they were weak or cheap just made for less wattage lol i just couldnt bring myself to smoke them completely .they do sound sweet though.

Cheers guys but the problem with that is that our dollar is now really crap against the u.s so these woofers are going to cost me nearlly 40 bucks each plus the postage down under so might try and find something locally. Dam the box only cost me 12 dollars

just make sure you match the ohmic value of the drivers....8 ohm <> 8 ohm etc etc.....

As long as the power rating is above 15W, you should be fine with just about anything.
