I just got a National Panasonic RX-5350 that needs some love. Does anyone have any experience working on 5350?

The issues are:

- the radio seems to be completely dead (even when Play button is engaged)

- line-in only works when the Play button is engaged

I have an idea about the line-in issue, but as far as radio - I have no clue. I've tried all bands, and it's just silent - no static or anything.

So any suggestions will be super appreciated!

have you tried looking at the function switch or the power button ,i know the 5350 is easy to work on its very basic and simple inside,is the cassette working ?

I only had a minute to test it last night, and yes - the Power switch seems to be an issue - as described in this 5350 thread
The tape deck works without any problems though!

Have you tried the Scotch and Screwdriver repair method?

Shamefull, sorry but I have no helpful input for you Vladi. Glad to hear you finally received it though.

I haven't cracked open my 5350's so I don't even know what they look like inside.

I see my repair technique is gaining in popularity - I'd better *all rights reserved* it!!!

But ya, I guess I'm going to have to take it to my repair guy - I guess there's no easy way to get the tuner fixed....
