I have a hitachi 8180, that i got off ebay.de. It`s been lying around for the past month. It needs new belts. Normally, it would have been done straight off. Has anyone had one in bit`s? I might attempt it.

I´m currently working on an 8080. Just finished cleaning inside and outside and i will change the belts when i have new ones (maybe next week). If you have any questions or need pictures of the inside feel free to contact me. Maybe the tapedecks are similar.

I had one that needed belts, but ended up trading it to Oldskool69 for a JVC PC-3 before I got to that project.

I actually have a belt for that box laying around here somewhere. I had opened the box up to take a peek and saw that the tape deck drive mechanism is behind a circuit board. Looks like a bit of a PITA to get to, but it looks like Royal has done one and says it is pretty straight forward.
