do sony fh 7 take normal battries to tke outside thanks paul

It can take batteries but,you need to buy a separate battery pack to enable you to do this. Unfortunately,they seem to be pretty rare these days!

i have been told that the batter pack would replace the internal powersupply. i also am somewhat suspect that it would not be as loud on batteries as it is now. i just finished listening to a marantz 2215 through a pair of tannoy reveals and its sounds very nice,no where near as loud as the sony fh i have. there must be something about those square sony speakers that thing has as well. i mean its just a really awesome sounding boombox.
