Are the VU's meant to light up on this model ? There is no 'light' switch that i can see but it appears to have clear surrounds on the inside that i thought may indicate lighting ?? I really like the look of this Aiwa but i think it would look great with some lit up VU's !!

Hi AZA,I believe that the meters were not lit. I have a Aiwa CS660,which is a later version of the 968 and the meters are not lit on it either. It would be cool looking if they were though.
