Much appreiated JVC. My brother deserves alot of the credit...we both were thinking of making a mount to size up the holes and attach the speakers to the mount...instead we made the speakers "unreturnable" by cutting flaps out of the rim wall. I guess i can toss this warrenty out now eh?
man i'll look at my junker to see what shape the tuner window is in,i have to go into my attic which is like the burmuda triangle.you could cut some plexi glass to cover the cassette holes if youre not going to use the cassette decks.
arright man i got you a whole tuner wondow with only minor scratches on it ,completely intact and looks great, you will have to remove the tuner trim from around the tuner window using a flat putty knife to get under the trim to pry it off ,but after that it goes in real easy.
yo this is fresh,
I knew you would have to bend that frame,I had to do that too when i put kraco's in 1. I see youre not utilizing the second amp, be careful it is 2 ohm now it may smoke that ha1392.
i think 4 coaxials might be too much

jimski's right

Wait, what do you mean ? I dont have everything hooked up right ? The purple and blue wires? Thats for a second amp? I thoughtit was for the bass "super woofer" knobs/function? Please explain what im doing wrong.....very very new to this.

How do i go abouts getting that glass. I saved the one original speaker that wasnt cracked and or blown from the 777; if anyone wants it.
Yes there are 2 amps in there and the cut wires are for the other amp.The way you have it hooked up now is just using 1 amp and a very low ohm which could heat the amp chip to oblivian. The ha1392 chip is only capable of a 4 ohm load. It will work like how u have it but there is a chance after playing it over long periods of time the chip will heat up and blow out. Unless u wire the speakers to the one amp different. There is a impedance guide somewhere around here.here we go

I like this project takes me back in the day.Hey for finding it in the trash dosnt look that bad at all either. One mans junk is another man's treasure.

So those two wires go where exactly?
I would assume that the darker wire is negative It has been a while .They go to the speakers and there should be another cut set on the other side that go to the other middle speaker.Notice that there are 2 heat sinks which means 2 amps.
hey man you should have a set of wires for each woofer two sets are controlled by the super woofers knobs ,check your private messeges ,so i can send you the tuner glass .
Damn, me and my bro thought those two wireswere for the super woofer function and we didnt feel comfortable ramming all that bass thru the tweeters in fear of blowing them out. Since i made them unreturnable by cutting into the metal, we didnt want to take the chance. back to the drawing board. Will fix this before i have to start replacing amp chips which is probally going to be costly?? No?
dont worry about the bass distorting the tweeters they speakers designed with bass bockers on the tweeters. even if you blow the tweeters you will still be ok cause you dont really need them on the middle speakers.
So im going to wirethem two wires to the center speakers, anyone know which is the negative? JVC check ya pm
don't worry about blowing them out, these little amps in the 777 won't do any harm to these pyles. after all these speakers were designed for use with car audio
Well, im traveling back outto Long island again. Still need to know which is the negative...i guess trial and error will figure itself out?
The purple wires are negative, and true the capacitors on the tweeters will protect them from blowing. Anyways those amp chips are only rated at 6.5 to 7 watts so youre cool
much respect to you guys for making a "little engine that could."
No prob, keep us updated with pics and all thanks
I gotta tip my hat to the man, JVC Floyd. Dude sent me a tuner glass for my Sharp for absolutly nothing. Hard to believe such good do'ers exist out here but they obviously do. (JVC, the glass was in between my door waiting for me when i got home. It made it in one piece too. (He did put it between soft foam and surounded it with styrofoam peanuts.) Again...thank you.
Yo this is great,How doe's the unit sound keep us updated.
Still havent had a chance to open it up. Found somethign else today. I swear to god im the luckyiest Santiation working in NYC right now. Will take pictures ina whiles and post. Dont you guys worry. Side project. Amazing that i find one thing...geat all hyped and into this....BAM another one falls in my lap. Give me a day or so...will post pictures of what i found.
Yo like i said in the 3rd page post 1 man's junk is another mans treasure.Being a sanitation worker has its perks. I just recently found in the trash a vintage donkey kong upright all original just needed a power supply and a cap kit for the monitor,I have it purring like a kitten now.
Donkey Kong is a great classic. I love old arcade games....In Brooklyn theres a bar called Barcade...they got a gaggle of old arcade classics in there with microbrews.
awesome ,glad to see it got there ok .
the best thing i've ever found in the trash was a Kirby Heritage vacuum cleaner with all the attatchments. only thing wrong with it was a worn out brushroll belt. works perfect now, the new belt set me back 2.50

its amazing what people throw away because they are lazy.

If your just a little bit handy with the tools and have a little knowledge and drive then there are projects to be found. Just be careful not to cross the line to junk collector.

You may be single soon or remain single for a long time if you cross that line.

Master Blaster...what i found is in your Avatar. minus one tape deck door/one anetena/and the beat/mode button. The left speaker plastic bar is broken too. Everything works on it though. Took it home, air blaster all the dust and dirt away. Dioxit'd all the switches and knobs, and it sounds perfect.
So how is this coming along.would like to see pics if possible..
Still havent gotten a chance to open it back up yet. Will most definatly have pictures for you guys when i do get it open again. Hoping sometime over the weekend perhaps. Maybe early next week.
