Good Boombox cassette section?

brianjrealtor - 2011-05-09 19:13

wanted opinions on the brand to look for in vintage boomboxes that have the best cassette section played through headphones?? i prefer to get one that is small or has detachable speakers, and has an EQ...

I have a Sanyo C4 that i have been very impressed with so far even with it in rough shape after a thrift store buy... not a Nakamichi like on my home system, but very respectable sound quality through Grado headphones...

The Sanyo's are less expensive to score, but I'm wondering if another brand can be better. willing to pay a little more if the tape section is worth it.....

any thoughts?
