Was given one of these in nice shape but with some problems. The tape comes out during playback, will not rewind or FF. Seems like maybe the smaller belt is a little slippy? I took it all apart to check it out. Motor works fine and I can see that both belts are moving. the white plastic gearing the middle (larger one) seems like it gets jammed up every once in while. Anyone familiar with this type of issue that could point me in the right direction as far as replacement parts go? I'd love to get the little guy running again.

I have a Sony (cfs-900) with a similar problem (post above..). It sounds like either the belt doesn't have any grip under load or maybe a stuck cam. I'm not an expert, but I'd guess more than likely, if it were readily available, a new belt for the reel motor would do it.
