I am having some issues with my i931 and was hoping to get some help or info from you guys on what could be causing these issues.

i think the buzzing noise is normal i had it on my mine as well....but it wasn't very noticeable...the music usually drowned it out....its no biggie....roll the batteries inside...sometimes its the contacts....or batteries not setting in...

Thanks for the reply! The buzzing news seems to get a little louder as I turn the volume up as well. I don't have another Ipod I can test this out with either but I have an iHome and it doesn't seem to have an issue there.
I'll try rolling the batteries, is there anything I can maybe do to the terminals or something so this isn't a regular occurrence.
As I was typing this I remember on old devices there use to be a little foam strip on the battery door to help hold the batteries in. I will give that a go as well.

try an SD card to see if it happens....i dont own one anymore so i couldn't test it out further for you....but perhaps another member can help that owns one....but ive heard the same with other owners on the buzzing.....so its common...try tapping the back in the battery lid...it could help as well...i think you mentioned, but make sure the switch on the back is set for batteries as well....

With mine (well, it's my son's) i931, there is a low-ish volume buzzing if using USB or SD, but not with iPod. The buzzing isn't affected by the volume setting & is related to the mp3 track access, as it makes more/different buzzing noises when starting & accessing the next track. It has always been used with the DC input jack (with a quality DC adaptor), as it has no 240V AC input (it was from the USA)...

@baddbill: The batteries I tried were fresh and it still wouldn't come on. I agree with a previous poster that it could be switch related or the batteries are just jarring themselves loose when I close the cover. I bought a strip of foam last night I am going to glue in to help hold the batteries in place. I also do recall, turning the volume all the way down on the ipod and still got the buzzing noise coming through on the speakers. My ipod has fm radio built into it so I was curious to know if this could be causing interference with the speakers or something as well.
@isolator42: I was curious about rigging some kind of external DC power source to thing as well so I could recharge it rather then spending money on batteries.
Like I said I am going to try and fix the screw posts this weekend, once I get those done, I am going to tinker a little more with what you guys have suggested. I'll keep you all informed on my progress with it. Thanks for all the info!

It should have a DC input... 15V, I think.
