Hello everyone!
     I was wondering if anyone here can help me with my problem.  I have 2 Sharp boxes that have the same problems.(9292 & 9090)  When playing the tape I will get a loud feedback in one speaker!(feedback comes and goes like if you had a microphone too close to a speaker)  Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?  Thanks!

Always start with the simpler fixes before moving on. For the switches, try Deoxit. It works wonders!!

You got it dave. Stick a pre-recorded tape in, with power off.

im with dave,the record thing has worked for me many a time when speakers have made that loud hum,its just a build up of dirt,dust and crap on the play head,nothing morestay positive,and hope this fixes it

And of course, you should clean rec/play switch and all of the switches on the top panel.

Hey everyone!!  Davebush, you were correct with pressing the record button several times as my feedback problem went away!! Who would have thought!
