the 767 is like the prototype to the the 777...it has differences in features in color scheme.....the 767 has unique tinted cassette lid windows, blue grilles, blue tuner dial section, has an APSS badge that lights up...some buttons and knobs are different as well, has only one VU meter......some graphics differ as well...but basically sound the same....i think the tweeters differ as well if i recall...hope that helps

Which is your favourite?

Years ago I would have gone with the 777Z, but it's so common now, I'll have to go with the 767. The extra bass just makes it sound like a fart cannon.

the 767 is like the prototype to the the 777...
Somewhere I read that 767 is a scaled down version of 777, in the run for cost reduction ultimately leading to the demise of quality audio systems in next few years.
This can be verified with the catalogs at wegavision. It can be seen in the catalogs that 777 was available till 1981 whereas 767 was released in 1982.

Thus 767 was not a prototype for 777, rather 767 was a successor to 777.

I've seen these but how genuine are they actually. In my opinion the used ones are well over priced and with the chances of import taxes as well even more so.

the highest as i recall the 767 went for was about 2,500 or so....but that was with the box and i think it had the stickers on the cassette deck windows on that one too...now that's rare...
