Tape speed Sanyo M9994k

Hi all,
Today I did the belts of my Sanyo M9994k. Tape speed is stable, but little slow... 2860Hz with my 3000Hz test tape.
How do I adjust the tape speed? Does anybody know or have a service manual?
Thanks!
Some pics....

I think the speed pot is in the motor itself, behind the black foam hole in it.

I hope not! Have to get everything out again to get there.... And it's impossible to adjust and operate the deck while everything is out..... isn't there a pot somewhere on the board?

Thanks for the link! Found the schematic in Japanese... Seems ElektroNeko is right.... Looks like the voltage regulator for the motor is inside it and not on the board.. At least it doesn't show on the schematic.....
Well it's only a small percentage, so who cares..... lekker belangrijk...

Yeah, it's one of those... Those are always a bitch to calibrate because there is always something in front of that hole. I own a Philips who has two of that kind of motors, one for every deck... It was a bitch to get it just right.

This is going the right way! Played >10 tapes and speed is going up! it's now at 2940Hz... Glad I don't have creep back into that box for now....
Yep, saw my Philips boxes all have the motor back pointed to the front... Got to remove the complete deck out to adjust... Nice job indeed, not!...

Agree it's a lovely box! It has become my favorite in no time!... I love the sound and the looks. And it's amazing build quality! If I get the change to buy another one for a good price... I would do immediately!..
Its not really difficult to get in, true. But it's soooooo boring to open up a box for the second time within days.... Haha how can you forget having such a nice box!... You must have many!

I just changed the belts in mine and the speed was much slower than it should be. I had to remove that chassis and connect it's power wires and speaker harness, and balance it on its side just to play a tape and adjust that pitch control on the back of the motor. I did it by ear and it's working great now, but by no means is it an easy task if you have no idea what you're doing.

I don't know how that box is put together, but there might be a couple options. 1) there could be an access hole at the back of the cabinet, where you would require a very long screwdriver (could also be hidden inside the battery compartment), or 2) pull it apart again, and assuming you can have the battery connector connected, run it with the back off, and adjust directly. Use batteries, not the household electricity for this!!
A possible 3rd option, lube the capstan bearing and motor bearing.
It could also just loosen up with more playing, but if not, just adjust it! You won't regret it!
