I've had this boombox for several years, it is mainly used with CDs. A couple of years ago the sound started to cut out for a second or two, after a couple of hours operation, this repeats every 15 minutes or so and is annoying.

I searched here and found nothing. I did an internet search and found one other person with this problem but no solution. Does anyone know a fix?

Not knowing how loud this being played, could it be over-heating?

Possibly dirty, dusty inside with enough crud inside to insulate the amplifier cooling fin's heatsink, so not to allow it to be cooled properly

When was the last time this was opened and the dust blown out and the operating switches, knobs and slider's blown out with some air from a aerosol can like the kind you would use to blow out dust-bunnies from the keyboard  you can Also use this for lubing and cleaning the above before the 'air' ( Deoxit gold aerosol spray )
