Im going to strip this box down today. Im not attempting to repair the deck, the radio and line-in work fine so im happy with that.
This just for cleaning as this could be the smeggiest box i own
Im really just seeing if theres any hidden screws i should know about, also will the front come off and main guts stay in the back or vice/versa.

The back comes off. Disconnect the 2 aerial plugs, and, the 2 big plugs, at the bottom right of the inner. The innards, come out pretty easily. One screw to be careful of, is, the top middle one. Good luck. Oh, and be careful, not to touch any tape gears.

I forgot to say. If you remove the speakers, to clean inside. When you screw them back, don`t screw too much, as, the posts break easy on these.

Well, i just took the back off and ive decided just for the sake of a clean im going to not bother.
I think im just going to give this an external clean with lightly damp cloth and earbuds.
Lit, thanks for the advice on the screw posts, when i was putting the back back-on, it didnt feel like it would take much effort the break them, also the screws were so short and weedy on this box.
Si, if youve not yet sent that PDF then dont worry about it, but thanks alll the same

Heh, I tend to over-tighten my screws, because I have this idea that it will reduce vibration LOL
