So I have this RX-5500 with an out of alignment FM section.  The pointer is off by about half an inch to the right and I get distorted bass on strong stations.  I have the service manual but it only really identifies the components on the tuner board.  A friend of mine does these alignments all the time but is used to a procedure being outlined in the service literature.  Are there any techs here who have tackled this in such a fashion?  How do you go about it?
