i had this rx 5100 unit ,, wondering why the vu not responding to sound,, already change the ic ,, capacitors but still no response to the output sound ,, is there anyone that could give advise on this

Did you check the switch for changing VU meter function in RX-5100.

It has 3 positions - Off/Battery Level/Audio Level.

May be the switch itself needs a clean!
